NIC Nepal (National Innovation Center, Nepal) is a non-profit organisation situated in Kathmandu that encourages research, innovation, and technology to help Nepal’s social and economic growth. They give a platform for innovators to develop their ideas by offering mentorship, funding, and tools. Their work includes digital health (electronic medical records), biomedical engineering (medical devices and ventilators), agriculture technology, and social-impact projects such as infant care devices. NIC Nepal aspires to improve the country’s healthcare, technology, and economic possibilities by encouraging innovation and promoting indigenous talent. Since Mahabir Pun is the founder of NIC, Bizz works closely with him on various innovation and development initiatives in a professional capacity.
Our partnership with NIC is based on the idea that innovation works best when it is easily available and directly helps marginalised groups. With this goal in mind, Bizz has provided knowledge, materials, and ongoing assistance to strengthen NIC’s national initiatives to improve Nepal’s socioeconomic position via innovation.
This initiative is to assist revitalisation projects, encourage innovation-oriented learning, and increase access to knowledge in order to inspire young minds. We oversaw an extensive book distribution operation at Aadarsh Secondary School, Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur as part of our CSR initiatives to improve educational access and encourage student’s curious minds. We gave 140 copies of Mahabir Pun to students and teachers as part of the program.
We bought the books and distributed them to the community and donated them to the students and teachers of Adarsha Secondary School- Sanothimi Bhaktapur, to support education.

This project accomplished a number of goals; Students were given access to real-life examples of persistence, inventiveness, and social responsibility that could inspire them to follow their own original ideas. Additionally, by restoring local interest in innovation-driven development tales, the distribution indirectly enabled a previously inactive agricultural tool firm in Birgunj to come back to life.
To create sustainable funding for NIC Nepal, increase international awareness, and expand support for Nepal’s innovation ecosystem, we arranged an influential engagement session with Dr. Mahabir Pun at the University of Lancashire, UK, which was a significant turning point for our CSR outreach.
NIC Nepal’s research and innovation initiatives were directly supported by the £16,000 that the event successfully raised.
This initiative complemented our overarching goal of bringing Nepal’s grassroots innovation movement to the attention of the world. The event:
In addition to assisting in the acquisition of crucial finance, the meeting reaffirmed the importance of international involvement in strengthening Nepal’s domestic potential for innovation.
In order to help Nepal’s expanding innovation infrastructure, accelerate prototype creation, and strengthen practical engineering research, Bizz donated a 22CC aircraft engine to the Nepal Innovation Center in keeping with our goal of promoting technical education and hands-on experimentation. Students, academics, and innovators involved in engineering inquiry and prototype development will find this site to be a useful tool.
The engine is a significant contributor to NIC’s objective of creating a self-sufficient environment for:
By enabling more seasoned research opportunities, we aim to support the development of engineering solutions that can benefit Nepal in the long term.
To improve educational collaboration between Nepal and the international community, preserve the narratives of local changemakers, and increase innovation fluency, Bizz has made it a priority to hand out copies of Mahabir Pun’s autobiography at every event we host because we want to foster an innovative culture among young people and professionals. We make sure that participants, visitors, and students have access to this compelling story of social transformation and resilience, whether they are in Nepal or our UK office.

In our UK office, we also keep a special collection of books to support:
In addition to promoting international acknowledgment of Nepal’s contributions to innovation and community growth, this persistent effort has greatly increased cultural and academic ties between Nepal and the UK.
To support communities that are having a national impact, celebrate community-centered innovation, and strengthen institutional collaborations, we chose to honor the 17 years of Bizz’s operation by working together with NIC Nepal, an organization since 2022 that embodies the principles of innovation, community, and social responsibility. As a way to show our gratitude to the innovators, researchers, and support personnel that propel NIC’s mission forward every day, we funded all of the center’s meals for the whole day.
