Throughout the enormous challenges posed by the COVID-19 epidemic, we stayed consistent in our commitment to protecting people in need and promoting public health. Recognising the urgency and gravity of the situation, we moved promptly to provide important medical supplies such as protective masks, sanitizers, and essential safety equipment. Our efforts were targeted to meet the requirements of those responding to emergencies, quarantined families, and others facing increased health concerns.
In addition to health supplies, we implemented targeted food security measures to assist families facing economic difficulty. Many families struggled to satisfy their basic dietary needs during the crisis, and we believed it was our responsibility to respond with timely and substantial support. Along with these initiatives, we ran community awareness campaigns on safety practices, disease prevention, and mental health, ensuring that the public received accurate information when it was most needed.
At Bizz, we understand that studying abroad is more than just an academic experience; it is an emotional, cultural, and personal transformation for every student who chooses to further their education beyond Nepal’s boundaries. Bizz, which is dedicated to ensuring that Nepali students feel supported, respected & connected throughout this transition, has built an extensive & robust student help system across UK universities. This project represents our strong view that providing holistic support may considerably improve a student’s confidence, mental health, academic success, and sense of belonging. The support system was created with a thorough grasp of the difficulties encountered by international students, particularly those navigating a new environment for the first time.
We are also proud to sponsor “Nepali Sanskritik Sanjh”, a cultural event organised by Nepali Samaj Preston in association with INAS UK and Daari Gang. The event brought together a large number of Nepali students and members of the settled community, providing a wonderful opportunity for everyone to reconnect with and celebrate our rich cultural heritage.
Bizz recently hosted a bright and significant Welcome Event for Nepali students in the UK, aimed to celebrate cultural identity while also providing practical help for academic achievement. The event began with an informative briefing session in which students learned important pointers for navigating life in the UK, including academic expectations and part-time employment guidelines, as well as housing assistance, financial planning, and mental health support. By providing children with this information early on, Bizz hoped to reduce stress, prevent confusion, and enable students to thrive from the start.
Following the instructive discussion, the gathering turned into a colorful Tihar celebration, complete with cultural performances, music, and traditional holiday activities that gave the attendees a warm sense of belonging and unity. Students had the opportunity to engage with one another, share stories, and form friendships that will serve as essential support networks during their stay abroad. The presence of the Bizz team offered an extra layer of encouragement, informing students that they had a reliable support system to guide them through each step.
We organise a welcome event twice a year, in February and October, for students who have just arrived in the UK.
An interactive program on “Opportunities and Challenges in the UK” was successfully conducted on 17th January, Saturday at the Lea Club in Preston. The event was organised by Bizz Education in collaboration with Nepali Samaj Preston, Daari Gang UK, and Nepalink.
The program was attended by around 35 participants, and was facilitated by Hari Karki, Director of Bizz Education, who served as the moderator.
During the interactive session, professionals from diverse fields including IT specialists, registered nurses, software engineers, administrative officers, accountants, data scientists, physiotherapists, project coordinators, recruitment consultants, education consultancy directors, social activists, graduates, and current students shared their experiences regarding study, work, and professional journeys in the UK.
Speakers discussed practical strategies on how to effectively manage education and employment in the UK, and how to create opportunities in professional fields. They provided advice, suggestions, and guidance to new students based on their own experiences. Participants noted that while challenges exist in the UK, maintaining a positive mindset, seeking guidance from experienced individuals, collaborating, and working diligently can turn the UK into a land of opportunities.
Organisers highlighted that the program served as an informative, inspiring, and guiding platform, particularly for new students and newcomers, helping them navigate their academic and professional journeys in the UK.
Bizz Education proudly sponsored this year’s Bisket Jatra celebration in the UK on April 19.
Bisket Jatra, one of the most vibrant festivals in the Newar calendar, brings people together in celebration of culture, tradition, and heritage. It was a privilege for us to be part of this special occasion celebrated by the Newar community in the UK.
At the event, Bizz Education also set up an information stall to engage with attendees and introduce our services for students interested in studying in the UK. We had meaningful conversations with students and families, sharing guidance on study options, application processes, and student support.
We are delighted to have connected with the community in such a culturally significant setting and to support aspirations for higher education in the UK.
